On October 21st we were joined by Paul and Lori Strong, co-founders of Parenting With a Purpose, a non-profit organization with a mission to break the cycle of intergenerational crime in Minnesota.
On October 14th fellow WBL Rotarian, Greg Bartz, shared with our Club his recent adventure of hiking into the Grand Canyon from the North Rim and returning out the same way.
On October 7th, we were joined by Century College President, Angelia Millender who spoke to us about the adaptations Century College experienced in the spring and the changes they have made for the fall 2020 semester and it's impacts on the staff, faculty and students.
On September 30th, we were joined by John Hinderacker to talk with us about how Minnesota ranks vs others with respect to our economy, our job growth and our taxes.
On August 5th, we were joined by Dr. Matthew Bostrum, former Ramsey Country Sheriff, as he shared with us his ongoing research into improving relationships between the Community and Police by hiring for character and training for competence.
On July 22 we were joined by Paul Schnell, Commissioner of Corrections for the State of Minnesota, he shared with us how the prison system is working to assist inmates with getting the resources they need during this period of time.
On July 15th we were joined by Effiom Whyte of the Rotary Club of Kingston Jamaica, Effiom shared the major project from his year as President that was supported by the WBL Rotary Club.
On July 8th, Allison Kaplan, Editor of Twin Cities Business Magazine, spoke to us about how Twin Cities businesses are being impacted (positively and negatively) by the COVID pandemic.
Fellow Rotarian, Patty Hall, joined us on June 24 to share with us her experience (and that of several other WBL Residents) climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa this past spring.
On June 17, fellow Rotarian, Jim Hunt, shared with us his fight against Parkinson's disease and how Boxing is helping with his journey, maintaining fitness of body and mind.
